The arms of Brittany have a uniquely short blazon, which simply reads ”ermine”. The crest is rarely used these days. Common for the middle ages it varied quite a bit with crests being much more tied to the individual bearer while the arms were tied to the title. This version is based on the armorial de l’Europe de la Toison d’Or which also include the rarely seen red and ermine mantling depicted on the duke of Brittany.
